Summary:

The “Business Intelligence and Data Project Manager” is an experienced leader specialized in the management of BI activities who will be responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of data-centric projects at Bell Media.

The successful candidate will manage projects part of Bell Media’s data, analytics & reporting modernization strategy and lead the management of AI/ML projects that will help the company optimize audiences, operations and revenue – collaborating with the data engineering, AI, information technology and business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

The BI and Data Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading projects – from planning to delivery – in the field of Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, collaborating with Data Engineering, AI, IT and business teams;
  • Setting clear focus and objectives and helping define the scope, milestones and deadlines of complex BI, AI and Data projects;
  • For AI-related projects, determining how the model/tool will be integrated in the business flow to generate value, highlighting dependencies, required systems and resources;
  • Providing direction and accountability and ensuring team members have the right skill sets and work well together, fostering a productive, collaborative, positive and fun working environment;
  • Mobilizing required resources to deliver results within the project scope; improving efficiency, mitigating risks and optimizing resource utilization;
  • Ensuring project fulfill quality requirements. Monitoring progress, tracking roadblocks and keeping project details up to date. Informing team members and stakeholders of progress in a positive and transparent manner;
  • Leveraging Agile project management frameworks to make sure projects are completed on time and on budget.

Critical Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years experience in successful project & operations leadership and managing projects in a matrix or cross-functional environment;
  • University degree in data science, computer science, management or other applicable field;
  • Project Management and Agile certification (SAFe);
  • Good knowledge of cloud computing environments and technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure);
  • Good business knowledge of AI and Machine Learning concepts and approaches;
  • Experience in advertising media (audience measurement, media planning / buying);
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills;
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
